Senior iOS Engineer · Bangalore, India
Building iOS systems that hold up.
11+ years architecting Swift, SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency applications for enterprise and consumer products — from technical design through App Store release.
About
Architecture first, polish second — never the other way around.
I'm a Senior iOS Engineer based in Bangalore, building high-performance iOS and iPadOS applications for enterprise and consumer products. My focus sits at the architecture layer — MVVM-C, Clean Architecture, modularization — because systems built to survive years of iteration matter more to me than features that just work on launch day.
Recent focus: leading the shift toward SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency in production codebases, and mentoring engineers through that transition. I've led teams of up to 8 engineers and QA, and owned products end-to-end from technical design through App Store release.

git log --author=darshan --reverse
- Building independent projects to stay current on Swift 6 concurrency, actor isolation, and advanced SwiftUI state management, following a planned career break.
- Prototyping a SwiftUI app on the Observation framework to explore UIKit/Combine → SwiftUI migration patterns.
- Owned end-to-end architecture for 3 enterprise iOS/iPadOS apps across 100+ manufacturing facilities in 7 countries — defining technical direction and delivery strategy.
- Built Solvei8's Swift Charts dashboards (10K+ data points) and redesigned its data layer on MVVM-C + Combine with local caching.
- Established CI/CD on Xcode Cloud, cutting release cycles from ~4 weeks to 2.
- Owned the Zilingo Buyer & Seller apps end-to-end, securing a 4.9 App Store rating.
- Built a server-driven layout architecture supporting growth to ~150K daily active users, and a backend-driven checkout engine across 5 countries.
- Led a stability initiative raising crash-free sessions to 99%; mentored 4 junior engineers.
Selected Work
Systems shipped to production.
Solvei8
Operational intelligence dashboards plotting 10,000+ data points. → Cut CPU spikes 40%, memory overhead 35%, API calls 50%.
Maintaini8
Asset & maintenance monitoring with AVFoundation QR scanning on legacy factory hardware. → Cut scan latency ~35%, battery use ~20%.
Zilingo Buyer App
Server-driven layout engine and multi-country checkout with BNPL and local wallets. → Grew to ~150K DAU, cut checkout drop-off ~18%.
Zilingo Seller App
Idempotent batch-processing engine for SKU inventory sync under unstable networks. → 99.9% sync accuracy, zero overselling.
